Spanish HQ

In the State of Texas, students are required to have at least 2 credits of the same Language Other Than English (LOTE) in order to graduate. The Spanish pathway at Bowie allows students to develop their speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills. You will have learning opportunities for Spanish and Latin American culture, which includes holidays, food, music, and even literature.

Also, being bilingual or having a strong basis for your second language will help you in a professional capacity. Many jobs offer additional pay for people who are bilingual.

There are many countries that speak Spanish, some examples are Spain, Mexico, Columbia, and most of the countries in Latin and South America. Also, we live in Texas. There are many Spanish-speakers here, and being able to communicate with them would be invaluable.

Additionally, learning a second language will help improve your literacy rate, which is very useful for other classes.
